hi! I’m michelle!
Welcome! My journey as a yoga practitioner spans over two decades, with a teaching experience of 17 years. The reason I took my yoga training was because of how much I wanted to share the joy of yoga like I had experienced. I loved the gifts I was discovering through my own newfound practice in the city. It was apparent from the outset of my training that I had to introduce it to my hometown, where I intended to highlight the vast benefits of yoga, and provide even a sliver of the yogic experience I had.
Yoga helped me in times of high stress and anxiety, it helped me to learn how to breathe in a way that helped me find the calm I needed. A way to heal from the inside out, to discover what I was capable of. Being able to teach and share yoga, over the years has been so rewarding. Absolutely loving the interaction with students, the gratitude of witnessing the positive changes people were experiencing. I felt compelled to further my education, change directions slightly and expand into massage therapy. This new direction allowed me to establish deeper connections with my clients and help them achieve greater physical wellness, comfort, and flexibility. I am fortunate to blend both worlds together, offering therapeutic massage therapy at my studio, Bella Body Works while still able to share all the love for the offerings of yoga.

gentle restore yoga
Gentle Restore was created after I took a teaching hiatus for motherhood, then to survive breast cancer. I found myself coming back to a practice that was much different as not only did I go through changes, but also some of my students bodies had changed and their practice needed to adjust. I learned to teach to the body in front of me, not just from my books and training. It sometimes meant becoming more flexible in my teaching. I designed new plans to accommodate and cater to the evolving bodies of my students. With inspiration from my Restorative Yoga and Thrive Yoga for Cancer training, i was able to create the practice Gentle Restore Yoga. The class comprises breathe-work, meditation, restorative poses, strength building and gentle movements, which help reduce pain, and improve mobility and flexibility. .

Goddess Yoga
Goddess Yoga, a 90 minute practice, is the art of sacred and sensual movements, inspired by belly and hula dancing. It is a combination of ancient rituals, creating transformations of self empowerment, and connection to the Divine Feminine. Weekly classes are about 90 minutes, while the workshops allow for a bit more discovery for 2 hours.

AURORA HalL yoga
A few years back a few ladies asked me if I could bring yoga to their hall, as it is quite a distance in the evening for a 30 minute drive into a yoga studio, so I began offering classes to them! It has since become a favorite place to teach, connecting with wonderful women where we unite, and share and appreciate having yoga available in such a rural location!

Massage & Yoga workshops are a favourite among students, with limited spots to allow for each student to get the most hands on experience. The class incorporates gentle yoga movements with the additional loving touch, through Thai Yoga Massage and Swedish Massage techniques.. You will be gently guided into a relaxing and blissful class, leaving you feel rejuvenated, nurtured and relaxed.
